The lamp and this iPhone
Midnight Table is a card game for one person. Five guests sit along an arc, and each guest is dealt one card.
Advertising identifier
That identifier stays unread until you answer the question the iPhone shows. Answering yes lets it leave the phone. It is then used for tracking and for analytics, so this lamp can be told from another installation. It is not stored with your name. Answering no leaves it unread. The answer can be changed later in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking. Guests, cards, and the lamp stay on the phone either way.
Installation number
This install keeps its own number in the keychain. Delete Midnight Table and put it back, and that number can still recognize the phone. The vendor identifier is read from the system for the same recognition. An instance identifier and an anonymous identifier are read only after a measurement kit has its settings. With no settings, both stay blank.
Tracking
Tracking uses the device identifier. The same identifier is also how the table tells one install from another. It is not linked to a person. Those two jobs are analytics and keeping the table working.
On this iPhone
Cards, flames, the seats you chose, and the note that you entered from the opening page live in the app sandbox. Removing Midnight Table removes them. The keychain number is the piece that can remain after removal.
How long
Sandbox notes last until the app is removed. The keychain number may last past that removal. An identifier that has already left the phone is held to separate this install from another, and it is not held beside a name.
Not collected
No name is taken. No phone number, address book, photo library, or precise location is taken. Midnight Table does not open an account.
Children
This game is not aimed at children.
